 A New Interfaith Religion  I am a Christian Baptist. I am a descendant of the Pilgrim Baptist Separatist who came to the New World and founded the Plymouth Plantation 400 years ago. I, also, have distant ancestry as part of the Seneca Native American Peoples. My stepfather founded what is now Skyline Baptist Church. Additionally, I hold a B.A. Philosophy from Virginia Tech.  My beliefs and faith are not one-dimensional, but multi-faceted. A person growing up in a small rural American town as a Preacher’s kid does not usually get exposure to other faith traditions, and in some cases, other Christian denominations. As an undergraduate Philosophy major, I attended Interfaith Religion Conferences and visited several of the local monasteries. Banks, as we would recognize them today as depository and lending institutions, have been around for more than 5,000 years. Shortly after the implementation of large-scale farming in ancient Mesopotamia a commodities market developed to better hedge against the uncertainties of seasonal crop yields. Also, in ancient Mesopotamia, banks formed in and around religious temples and government strongholds. The first formal system of taxation was developed by the ancient Egyptians, some years later, giving rise to government, as we would recognize it today. It is the Christmas Holiday 2023 season and not many people are thinking of the many bank failures of March and April earlier this year. I was accepted into Virginia Tech’s Computer Engineering degree program my Junior year of High School. However, I received a Division I Wrestling scholarship offer my Senior year of High School. I did not quite make it through my red-shirt freshman year of college wrestling. I returned to my hometown of Front Royal, Virginia and attended the local community college and worked for several years. I then re-applied to Virginia Tech as a transfer student. I graduated from Virginia Tech with degrees in Business Economics and Philosophy. After graduating from Virginia Tech my love for personal computers and IT continued. I worked in the e-commerce division of an internet telecommunications company as a programmer and applications developer, in various roles, including Systems Administration and Data Science.  Thanksgiving Holiday 2023 It has been about one year since I have made a new blog post to this website. I have been quite busy follow the events on both Wall Street and in Washington D.C. November, among many things, is National Blogger Month. I will attempt to make more time for writing and posting blogs to this website. The Thanksgiving Holiday in the month of November has more meaning to me today than when I was a kid. Within the past ten years I have discovered I am a descendant of the Baptist Pilgrim Separatists of the Mayflower and 1620 Plymouth Plantation. I, also, found out I have distant ancestry of the Seneca Native American Peoples. It is to my understanding my Great Great Grandmother was a Seneca Native American tribal leader, making my grandfather a legal member of the Seneca Native American Tribe. I reside in Stephens City, Virginia, about an hour drive outside of Washington D.C. I can often be found at one of the area’s libraries doing consulting or tutoring.   I hold a B.S.
