2024 November General Election

We are in the final days of Summer 2024 and the November General Election is 50 days from now. Most Americans, including myself, are watching the election events with disbelief and disgust. Most voting Americans are very unhappy with the direction of the country, its leadership, and how both Political Parties have gone so far from where main-stream Americans are on most issues. Our political and government officials no longer serve the American people, but various fringe groups with bizarre political agendas.

For me personally, I have 20 years remaining in my professional career. As a voting American and as a current resident of the greater Washington D.C. Metro area, the current debt-level of Washington D.C. and the issue of Qualified Immunity is top of my concern. Neither Political Party has addressed these issues. Furthermore, the main-stream media outlets have spent about 15 minutes total on these issues this past year. These issues will define our country and politics for the next 20 years, and there doesn’t seem to be anyone inside the beltway with the courage to address these issues.

Currently, Washington D.C. is drowning in more than $35 Trillion of debt, the highest debt-level in nearly a century, and recently had its credit rating downgraded. Washington D.C. might have another partial government shutdown if a budget agreement cannot be reached before October 1st. This massive amount of debt is a direct result of fraud and corruption by our government officials hiding behind Qualified Immunity protections, and places the American Republic in a perilous situation. The United States cannot presently respond effectively to any crisis situation including; terrorist attack, pandemic crisis, severe economic downturn, or natural disasters. The United States is a financially crippled country.

These government officials use Qualified Immunity and other legal trickery to subvert the U.S. Constitution and render average citizens’ Civil Liberties null and void. U.S. Government Officials did not have or need Qualified Immunity for the first 200 years of the American Republic. A handful of activist Judges in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s granted themselves, cops, and a select few other government officials, Qualified Immunity and other legal protections from any civil liabilities and prosecution. In a historical perspective, they declared themselves to be a kind of American Aristocracy.

While others of the past 20 years have been devising ever-elaborate schemes and scams to defraud their neighbors and fellow citizens, and robing the public coffers by hiding behind Qualified Immunity, I have spent that time researching online degree programs and other ways to boost the economy and standard of living of Rural America. This is not some "ode to hillbillies" telling my personal life story. For example, it is now very possible to obtain and online MBA or online Master Agricultural Economics from my alma mater, Virginia Tech, while living and working on any farm in the country. This new reality of online education has the potential of adding trillions of dollars of true generational wealth to rural America and elsewhere.

The current financial situation of Washington D.C. is the worst in almost 100 years, and the political condition is the worst since the Nixon era. Nobody in Washington D.C. has the courage to address the financial or political malaise, and Americans are worse because. While presently half of all Americans cannot meet a $1,000 financial emergency, these government officials in Washington D.C. spend, waste, and rob billions of dollars using Qualified Immunity and other legal trickery. If I do actually vote on Tuesday November 5th, 2024 it will be to write-in Gregory Lewis.
