Halloween 2025: More Thoughts on the Apocalypse
Halloween 2025: More Thoughts on the Apocalypse
October 31st Halloween 2025 is two weeks away, followed by All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day. I am a Christian Baptists and we did not have much to do with anything at this time of year. As an undergraduate Philosophy major I had courses in Philosophy of Religion and participated in various Inter-Faith Dialogue Conferences. It was not until my later undergraduate college years at Virginia tech that I became intrigued with the history and religious significance of this transition to shorter days and longer nights. Afterwards, I spent an entire year reading the King James Study Bible authorized by Liberty University. I then spent an additional two years of personal research on the Apocalypse. I researched the Apocalypse using a three-pronged approach: 1. Philosophy of Religion, 2. Comparative Religion, and 3. with a practical disaster-preparedness perspective. I am currently researching how modern technology can help facilitate inter-faith dialogue and I am trying to find funding for a formal graduate online degree program.
We are now 18 days into the budget government shutdown in Washington D.C., and with the ongoing tariff and trade-war, my research into the Apocalypse seems even more relevant. The over-arching themes of most apocalyptic prophecies and stories include catastrophic wars, famine, and disease pandemics that ends entire civilizations, or brings about the end of the world, and in some instance, ends time itself. In most instances there is a battle between the forces of ultimate-good and ultimate-evil, that usually includes a savior, such as Jesus Christ.
I am a Microsoft Certified Windows Programmer. Most of my PC work meets or exceeds U.S. Government / Military standards. Windows PC’s and laptops were deemed Essential Devices during the recent global pandemic crisis. I strongly recommend everyone upgrade to a Windows 11 PC, now that Windows 10 has reached end-of-service and the O.S. is no longer supported by Microsoft. Personally, I prefer HP machines. HP Windows PC’s are usually less expensive than competitors, and are the easiest for maintenance and upgrades, but there are many good PC manufacturers.
Folks, a felony conviction of any kind severely limits a person’s ability to obtain a professional license or professional certification. With a government shutdown, a possible economic recession, and cops and judges using Qualified Immunity to “target” innocent citizens, it is very easy to get a criminal charge of some kind. I do not have anything on my record that would prevent me from obtaining any kind of professional license, including membership into the State Bar. Rightly or wrongly, a felony conviction of any kind can be devastating to any professional license or career. If you do any Halloween 2025 celebrations I hope you have a fun, safe, and frightful time, but be sure not to pick up a felony conviction. HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2025!
