Firstly, I will not in any way be registering my candidacy for any political office. Secondly, I will not in any way be accepting monies, donations, gifts, or compensation of any kind for this write-in political campaign. Finally, you will need to check the local rules and laws in your specific jurisdiction pertaining to write-in political campaigns, before writing my name, Gregory Lewis, onto the ballot.


Plato of Ancient Athens stated the punishment for those who do not participate in the political process is to be governed by their inferiors. Indeed, Aristotle’s book on Politics was the pinnacle of political science for over 1,000 years, and is still read in reverence today. Many professional Philosophers, Theologians, Economics, Military Commanders, Attorneys, and other experts on politics have written, debated, and discussed at great length on the subject of politics and governing. It could rightly be argued that all Government is is the collection and disbursement of tax revenues in the most fair, equitable, and efficient way possible.    


My primary thesis is the legal doctrine of Qualified Immunity is antithetical to the very notion and promises of Democracy, and has incentivized incompetence and corruption by both political parties at all levels of the U.S. government for the past 50 years. As a direct consequence of this tyrannical legal doctrine, the United States is a near-bankrupt banana republic managed by leaders who use organized criminal tactics while hiding behind Qualified Immunity protections. The devastating negative effects of Qualified Immunity is evidenced by the massive ongoing local $100 million public funds scandal here in Front Royal, Virginia, and the $35 trillion debt of Washington D.C., the highest debt-to-GDP level in almost 100 years. Washington D.C. recently had its credit rating downgraded.


Since the early days of the Printing Press, government officials and others in positions of power have been threatened by new technologies. They try to limit new technologies that amplify and gives a voice to individuals. Today’s U.S. Government officials are not any different. They try to track, monitor, regulate, limit, and even eliminate a citizen’s ability speak and write what they will. This online digital political campaign will address the many assaults to the 1st Amendment by the U.S. Government in recent decades, particularly as it relates to Social Media, Net Neutrality, Artificial Intelligence, Crypto-Industry, Online Dating, Data Science, Online Education, and E-Commerce.


There are may articles online documenting the dissatisfaction Americans currently have with the leadership in Washington D.C., and the choices presented for the November 2024 elections. 8 in 10 Americans say the U.S. has a leadership problem, according to a recent US News article. Americans are deeply dissatisfied with government and politics, according to another Newsweek article. Americans have a dismal view of government and politics, according to a recent Pew Research study. Americans are clearly unhappy with the incompetence and corruption of our government officials.    


When I was a youth in the latter years of the Cold War I lived in the parsonage of a nearby church. My stepfather was a Christian Minister. I was deathly afraid of the Communist Soviets, where religion was outlawed. I was keenly aware if the Communist Soviets had actually won the Cold War me and my family would probably be forced to live in a Siberian Gulag. The legal doctrine of Qualified Immunity is comparable to Soviet Communism. The legal doctrine of Qualified Immunity has eliminated our civil liberties, gutted the American middle class, and bankrupted Washington D.C. This online digital campaign is an attempt to bring awareness to the devastating effects of Qualified Immunity and be a protest vote against the fraud and corruption in Washington D.C., and elsewhere in the country.

 Christmas Holiday 2024 Interfaith Message The Puritan Pilgrim Baptist Separatists of the 1600’s, of which I am a descendant, did not place much emphasis on Christmas celebrations.  Sic Semper Tyrannis The Seal of Virginia Tech, my alma mater, prominently features an obverse of Virtue defeating Tyranny. The standing allegorical female figure of Virtue is shown having vanquished Tyranny, symbolized by a fallen king at her feet. She has an exposed breast in the manner of classical depictions of Amazons. The scene is adopted from the Flag and Seal of the State of Virginia that has its origins in the American Revolution of 1776. The motto shown on the seal, Sic Semper Tyrannis, means "Thus always to tyrants." It is only slightly ironic that Virginia is named after Queen Elizabeth I of England, who was known as the Virgin Queen because she never married.
